CATALYST STARTS YEAR WITH NEW BDM

Bridging finance specialist Catalyst has further expanded its business development team with the appointment of Jonathan Cooper.

Jonathan has eight years’ experience in financial services, having started his career as an underwriter of loans and mortgages for a mortgage packager.

He then progressed to become a Business Development Manager and joins Catalyst from his previous role with a residential and commercial lender, where he gained valuable experience of regulated and non-regulated business.

Jonathan, 28, from Cheshire, says he is delighted to join Catalyst and hopes his experience will add further strength to the award-winning Business Development team.

He said: “I was attracted to Catalyst because it is such a fast-growing company and there are excellent opportunities for career progression. They have been steadily expanding the team and won the NACFB award for ‘Best Short Term Lender’ at the end of last year.

“However the main factor was Catalyst’s straightforward, straight talking ethos. What they say to brokers, they will deliver. That is very attractive to me as a BDM because I want to be able to build strong relationships with brokers. They don’t move the goalposts, which is not the case with all companies.”

Jonathan’s appointment comes less than three months after the appointment of Heather Clawson as a BDM at Catalyst, who will help complement the existing development team of Brian Baker, Dawn Smith and Paul Williams.
